The primary challenge in this branding project for Matet's Kitchen was to effectively introduce the Filipino lumpia to the US market, a product unfamiliar to many consumers.
This challenge involved two critical tasks: conducting extensive research on Filipino culture to identify distinctive elements that could be integrated into the brand, and designing the packaging to resonate with US consumers while also illustrating the lumpias in an appetizing and appealing manner. Ensuring the brand’s origin and unique selling proposition were communicated effectively without alienating potential customers unfamiliar with lumpia was paramount.


The outcome of our efforts for Matet's Kitchen is a branding and packaging design that beautifully marries Filipino cultural elements with the tastes and expectations of the US consumer. Through careful research and creative design, we have successfully made the brand’s origin a distinctive asset, seamlessly integrating it into the packaging.
